Wedding Officiant in Lexington SC — Ceremonies & Marriage License Signing
Looking for a wedding officiant in Lexington who can also handle the marriage license paperwork? I’m Jack Heape — a licensed notary public and ordained wedding officiant serving Lexington, Lake Murray, Chapin, Gilbert, Batesburg-Leesville, and the surrounding Midlands area. I’ve performed over 4,000 ceremonies across South Carolina and take care of everything: the ceremony, the vows, and signing the marriage license — all in one.

I Handle the Paperwork Too
South Carolina couples pick up their marriage license from the county probate court before the ceremony — in Lexington County, that’s the Lexington County Probate Court. After the ceremony, the officiant signs all three copies of the license and returns two copies within 30 days (Lexington County allows 30 days, versus 15 in most other counties). Because I’m also a licensed notary public, I handle that signing directly and make sure the paperwork gets filed correctly. I’ll walk you through the whole process before your wedding day.
Serving Lexington and the Lake Murray Area
Lexington is one of the most popular areas in the Midlands for weddings — from waterfront ceremonies on Lake Murray to venues throughout the town of Lexington and surrounding communities. I regularly officiate ceremonies in Lexington, Chapin, Gilbert, Pelion, Batesburg-Leesville, and Swansea. Whether you want a simple elopement at the courthouse or a full ceremony at a venue or private property, I can make it happen.
With over 4,000 ceremonies performed and 800+ five-star reviews, I bring experience and ease to your wedding day. I’m also the go-to wedding officiant in Columbia SC for couples throughout the Midlands, and Lexington is one of my most-traveled areas.
