What do you need to get married in Camden?
First of all you need to get your marriage license. You can go to any county probate court in the state, and then use that license anywhere in the state to get married. In Camden (and Kershaw County), you can go to the Probate Court to obtain your license. See their website, Kershaw County Probate Court, for all the details. Once you get your license you can use it in Camden or anywhere else in the State of SC to get married.

After you get your license, then all you need is someone to officiate the marriage and sign the paperwork. No witnesses are required in SC. You don’t even have to have a ceremony if you don’t wish. Just get the paperwork completed. if you want a ceremony, then you need to think about your vows.

I can either come to your home or apartment, or meet you at a park. Couples often choose to get married at Hampton Park which is a nice location for a wedding ceremony. And it’s free!

Our Fees
For the Camden, SC area my fee is $150 to perform a wedding ceremony. If you require me to attend a wedding rehearsal, there is an additional fee of $100. You can reduce the cost if you meet me half way. I perform a lot of marriages for people from Camden at the Sesquicentennial State Park. The fee for that is $80.
